Day 12 :: Genesis 29-30, Luke 12

Jacob falls in love with Rachel and marries both Rachel and Leah. Jesus warns of accumulating stuff and teaches a life of generosity and sharing with others. 

Day 11 :: Genesis 27-28, Psalm 4, Luke 11

Isaac is at the end of his life and blesses his sons, Jesus challenges people to hear and see his message and put it into action in their lives through their prayer and love for others.

Day 10 :: Genesis 25-26, Psalm 6, Luke 10

Abraham dies, Jacob is born to Isaac and Rebekah. The Psalm is a prayer to God describing a hard life and asking for God's support. Luke shows people going and sharing Jesus' message and Jesus gives us the Great Commandment with the Samaritan story.

Day 9 :: Genesis 23-24, Luke 9

Sarah dies, and Abraham wants to honor her. Jesus continues teaching and healing, and we are challenged with what we are willing to sacrifice to as we love our neighbors with God's love.

Day 8 :: Genesis 20-22, Luke 8

Isaac is born to Abraham and Sarah; Abraham is tested with the sacrifice of Isaac; Jesus shares stories and heals a bleeding woman.

Day 7 :: Genesis 18-19, Psalm 3, Luke 7

Continue with Abraham's story and take a peek at Lot's choices. Start a Psalm reading, and consider Jesus teaching on humility and hospitality.

Day 6 :: Genesis 15-17, Luke 6

Day 5 :: Genesis 12-14, Luke 5

Start of Abraham & Sarah story; Jesus calling disciples to follow him.

Day 4 :: Genesis 9-11, Luke 4

Jesus in the wilderness and starting his ministry time.

Day 3: Genesis 6-8, Luke 3

Finish the story of Noah and look at life of John the Baptist.
